The Evolution of 6pm

6pm has evolved over the course of three decades, with expertise passing from father to son, through changing environments and advancing technology. In 1987, Anton O’Carroll established Medrex Systems Ireland, Ltd, having formed a partnership with a New York-based company to convert x-rays into microfilm for Irish health care groups.

Over the years, as they developed extensive new capabilities and systems, Medrex became 6pm Ireland. It is now 100% owned and operated by the O’Carroll family, with Operations Manager Daniel O’Carroll at the helm. While much has changed since the days of microfilming x-rays, the company’s core offering has remained the same: sorting, storing and safeguarding their clients’ most valuable records for easy access now, and for many years to come.

What We Do

At 6pm, we are experts in document management: from microfilm to x-rays, scanning to storage. If your document or record library has become unwieldy or disorganised and you don’t know where to start, get in touch and let 6pm bring order and access to your document storage systems. We work with organisations of all shapes and sizes, from major hospitals to large law firms, offering them all the secure access they need and the peace of mind they deserve. We handle the hard work of data management and storage, leaving our clients free to get on with what they’re good at – helping people. We offer three core services: document scanning, document storage, and document or physical asset tracking.

Scan

We scan medical, legal and personal documents with top-level technology and create an index for our clients, so their documents are easy to find and securely stored in our servers. We instantly capture forename, surname, and date of birth data from each document, which helps hospitals and GP offices find what they need.

Store

We store medical records, microfilm, and x-rays in a secure off-site location for hospitals, GP offices and legal practices when they have run out of space, staff, or security. We pack the documents for you, transport them to our warehouse, and create a complete database from the inventory. We can then retrieve and return scanned or physical records to you on request.

Track

We are the first and only suppliers of K-tracktechnology in Ireland. We have partnered with Kinsetsu to enable our clients to avail of K-track, which allows us to embed an RFID code into a label on documents, files, or even onto physical equipment. With a simple handheld device, you can then locate any RFID-enabled item with ease, saving your team time and your company money.
